What I Offer

Movement Classes

I offer group and private movement classes. Classes include meditation, breath-work, gentle, fluid movements, sound therapy and self-massage techniques designed to purge stagnation and circulate energy to nourish, replenish, invigorate and balance the body's systems.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing, allowing unrestricted movement, soft shoes, or bare feet. Typically done standing, this practice can be adapted for sitting. Have a hard chair or stool on hand where you can sit with your spine erect and your feet planted firmly on the ground. Classes run 75 minutes.

Start your day with an invigorating, focused morning practice designed to energize your body and mind. Join me as we engage in specific flows or forms tailored to the season and current conditions, ensuring a practice that aligns with the present moment.

February 2025 Morning Practice: This 8-class series will flow with the shifting energies of the seasons. The first four classes will delve into the Water Element, focusing on the Kidney System and its connection to winter’s rest, renewal, and introspection. Water’s persistence and endless innovation form the foundation of willpower and motivation housed in the Kidneys.

The final four classes will transition to the dynamic energy of the Wood Element, embracing spring’s expansive growth. These sessions will focus on the Liver System, highlighting its role as a spiritual and strategic guide for dreaming, planning, and renewal. Wood Energy, strong yet supple, teaches the power of flexibility and adaptability.
Zoom Setup: Join classes from home using the Zoom platform. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a space to move freely. Links to Zoom recordings are provided for a limited time.

Private movement classes

These personalized classes are all about you—designed to meet your unique needs and goals. Maybe you’re working with a specific health condition, or perhaps you’re want a customized approach

Here’s how it works:

  • I’ll send you a quick questionnaire to get a sense of your needs and what you’re hoping for.

  • We’ll have a short chat to refine the plan.

  • Then, we’ll meet on Zoom, where I’ll guide you through movements tailored just for you.

The 60-minute session will be recorded, so you can revisit it anytime over the next 3 months.

Energy Balancing Treatments

A Qigong energy treatment is specific to each individual and their condition. You can expect a unique experience focused on balancing and harmonizing your body's energy. To help me understand your specific needs and tailor the treatment accordingly, I will send you an initial questionnaire to learn about your health history, concerns, emotional state and goals. Qigong treatments work to clear stagnation, harmonize imbalances and strengthen your body's natural healing capacity.

To begin, you are guided to relax and find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. I employ gentle movements or light touch to sense and manipulate your body's flow of Qi (energy). Throughout the treatment, various Qigong techniques, including sound therapy, are used to improve the flow of Qi in your body. The aim is to remove blockages, nourish your organ systems, replenish energy, and restore vitality. During the treatment, you may experience different sensations, such as warmth, tingling, or a have visualizations. Each person's experience is distinctive, and you may feel a deep sense of calm or a release of tension. Depending on individual preferences, various avenues exist for exploration during the treatment. Discussing one's feelings or any emerging thoughts or simply embracing the silence to relax and reflect on the experiences are all viable and valuable possibilities during the treatment.

The duration of a Qigong energy treatment is 45-60 minutes. After the session, I recommend movements to continue supporting your energy balance and well-being and share insights on my findings.

Overall, a Qigong energy treatment provides an opportunity to connect with and cultivate your body's natural energy, promoting relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.
