About Me

It was in my late fifties, back in 2016 when my yoga teacher introduced me to the ancient practice of Qigong, and from that moment, I was hooked.

I began a daily Qigong routine, and it didn't take long to experience its remarkable benefits. The practice infused me with an overwhelming calm while nurturing my confidence and self-esteem.

As I delved deeper into this energetic medicine's philosophy, history, and extraordinary healing powers, I pursued my passion for Qigong by studying with Empty Mountain Institute and completing the Medical Qigong Therapist program. Qigong’s holistic worldview seamlessly intertwined with my identity as a lesbian feminist, enhancing my connection to the natural world and the universal forces.

Through the practice of Qigong, I experienced a revitalization of my long-abandoned spiritual life, embracing a sense of wonder and reverence once again. This exploration led me to befriend and truly comprehend my emotional body, recognizing it as an integral part of my inner universe's vast and intricate landscape. Discovering my energetic anatomy felt like a homecoming—a reunion with my true self.

Now retired from my arts administrator and fundraiser career, I reside alongside my long-time partner in East Vancouver, BC. I am working towards meeting the requirements for my Master of Medical Qigong certification, driven by a fascination and curiosity to deepen my knowledge and understanding of this profound practice.

My journey with Qigong has not only transformed my life but has also allowed me to align my values and beliefs with a practice that encompasses healing, interconnectedness, and a deep reverence for the natural world. Through classes, energy treatments, and personalized programs, I actively guide individuals in cultivating their innate healing abilities, empowering them to awaken their own inner healers.
