      <image:title>New Blog - The METAL Element</image:title>
<image:caption>The Lungs, positioned above, protect vital organs, regulate both qi and respiration, embodying the virtues of courage and integrity. The Lungs maintain immune defenses, circulating Qi and body fluids, as well as regulating qi flow in blood vessels and channels. When balanced, this Metal-Lung partnership promotes clear thinking, a robust immune system, and the ability to embrace change while letting go of the unnecessary. Emotional energies such as sadness and grief can accumulate in the Lungs. These emotions, especially grief, so linked to love, take courage to feel and find full expression. Sadness and grief can get bottled up in the Lungs. The Metal Element shows us how to honour and work with the grief, “refine it” until love and gratitude is all that remains. The spirit of the Lungs, known as the Po, is our corporeal soul guiding our animal instincts—the survivalists within us. Integrating with us at birth and departing when breathing ceases, The Po guides our physical impulses and knee jerk reactions, ensuring our safety even when our minds wander. Linked with the season of Autumn, the Metal Element mirrors the preparation for winter—a time of processing the harvest, gathering supplies, and retreating, akin to the waning moon conserving its resources. This natural phenomenon serves as a reminder of the wisdom in rest and the essential practice of reserving and refining energy for the upcoming seasons, aligning our rhythms with the cyclical patterns of nature.</image:caption>

      <image:title>New Blog - The EARTH Element</image:title>
<image:caption>The Earth Element embodies the profound wisdom that all things are in a perpetual state of transformation; change is not merely a phase, but a fundamental constant in life. Much akin to the earth itself, this element epitomizes patience, unwavering support, and nurturing care. It forms the foundation upon which all changes, no matter how tumultuous, are absorbed, endured, and accommodated. In the human body, the Spleen System serves as the vessel for Earth Energy, embodying the essence of transformation and transportation. Teaming up with its yang counterpart, the stomach, the Spleen nurtures the body. It transforms food into vital energy (Qi) and ensures its seamless distribution throughout the body. Additionally, the Spleen maintains the blood flow within vessels and keeps organs securely in their places. It also governs the muscles and limbs, allowing for smooth physical movement. The spirit of the Spleen, known as Yi, translates as intention and intellect. Yi assimilates life's subtle nuances, incorporating them into our analytical thinking, memories, intelligence, and ideas. It enables us to derive meaning from our experiences, fostering our ability to move purposefully towards our aspirations. When the Spleen is imbalanced, it manifests as excessive worry, overthinking, self-doubt, remorse, and an obsession with the past. In contrast, a harmonious Spleen instills trust, certainty, groundedness, and stability, empowering us to harness our inherent talents and manifest our desired future. The Earth Element is linked with late summer, the season of harvest and fruition. However, its influence transcends this time, guiding us through the transitions between all seasons. It symbolizes the center, offering balance and stability amid life's ever-changing landscapes, reminding us that even in the midst of transformation, we can find our grounding.</image:caption>

      <image:title>New Blog - Five Element Theory</image:title>
<image:caption>The Creative Cycle: Wood (Liver) feeds Fire (Heart), the energy of the Liver feeds the Heart. Fire creates ash the energy of Fire creates Earth (Spleen). The Heart overflows to support the Spleen. From the Earth we get Metal (Lungs). The Spleen supports the Lungs. Metal becomes molten and creates Water (Kidneys) and so the energy of the Lungs give energy to the Kidneys. Cycle of Control: Wood penetrates the Earth. Fire melts Metal. Earth absorbs and holds Water back. Water puts out Fire. The Creative Cycle follows the seasons, stimulate one organ to create more energy in the other. The Controlling Cycle shows that if you strengthen one organ you are restraining another. These cycles are very important to diagnoses and treatment. The goal is to seek equilibrium.</image:caption>
